We accept banner ads for our HTML publications but no longer recommend their use. More readers are 'blocking' graphics in email messages and that is the default for Outlook 2003. For maximum reach for your ad we suggest the text ad option instead.
o 468 x 60 pixels or 392 x 72 pixels (i.e. width x height)
o No larger than 18kb
o .GIF or .JPG format.
o A hyperlink for action when the graphic is clicked.
o Up to 50 characters of 'alternate text' to appear below the graphic, in the tooltip (when supported by the browser) and also in lieu of the graphic appearing.
All the banner sizes are approved IAB/CASIE Advertising Banner Sizes. Wherever possible we try to fit in with existing advertising graphics you have.
Animation is OK however some email programs don't have animation support so it's recommended that the first image in the sequence be able to 'stand alone' when displayed in a non-animation capable program.

For each advertisement to proceed we need the following sent to Jan McCullough before the deadline:
· GIF or JPG images according to the above specifications. Send as an attachment to an email message to us not an inline image.
· Details of the hyperlink for action when the graphic is clicked.
· The alternate text for the graphic as detailed above.
