℉ not recommended

While Degree Fahrenheit is in the Unicode character list, it’s not recommended. The symbol is there for compatibility with Chinese and other Eastern languages.

The better kerning makes the single character ℉ a better looking choice especially in large font sizes for signs or slides.  Use ℉ when it suits you and don’t worry about the Unicode police coming after you <g>.
