Microsoft is pushing the concept of ‘Snap’ addins to link Office programs with their ‘Dynamics’ range of server solutions.
Microsoft Dynamics Snap first effort are a collection of four software programmes that make it easier to work from Outlook, Word or Excel and make use of data on your server.
For Microsoft Dynamics AX 3.0 (formerly Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta) there are Timesheet, Vacation and Business Data Lookup tools.
If you have Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 (the latest version of the Customer Relationship Manager product) there’s also a Business Data Lookup tool to let you access customer information from Word, Excel or Outlook.
