Office for Windows Mobile has some additional features now available in preview.
If you’re in the Windows Insiders program, you can download v17.7070 or later from the Windows Store.
Color selection is better with a wider range available including Recent, Theme and Standard colors.
The More Colors option has a slider at the bottom to choose a color, then pick from various shades in the top rows. The block on right is the currently selected color.
You can’t, however, enter a specific color value (RGB etc).
Color selection includes slide backgrounds in PowerPoint Mobile.
Excel Mobile can now open worksheets with ActiveX controls. That probably means you can open the worksheet but the ActiveX controls may not work.
Windows Phone gets the Draw tab so your fingers can draw or highlight on documents.
Microsoft says you can export documents, worksheets and presentations to the OpenDocument (.odp, .odt, and .ods) formats. But we’re damned if we can find that option in the current build. Just to open a OpenDocument file requires Internet access and the possible privacy breach that entails:
