Security patches for Publisher and Visio.
This month’s security updates from Microsoft are ‘only’ for Publisher (2002/XP, 2003 2007) and Visio (2002/XP, 2003, 2007)
Publisher
Yet another method of making a file which, when opened, allows other programs to be run. There’s been many, many of these problems found. This time it affects Publisher.

Visio
It’s much the same story with Visio. More methods have been found to hack a Visio file to permit other programs to be run on your computer.

In most cases Windows/Microsoft Update will download these patches but many Office-Watch.com readers prefer to manually update their system after some unfortunate glitches in the automatic process.
