Ordering Detail Items on a Report

How to list detail items on a report in the order they were entered.


Q:  Scott Campos writes:  “I want the invoice report to print in the same order as is entered on the order form.  This makes it much easier to manually double check an order to make sure all of the items were entered right.  How do I do this?”

 

A:  To list detail items on a report in the order they were entered, you can add an AutoNumber field to the table containing the detail data, and then use that field to order the detail items (it need not be displayed on the report).
