Who is better? Larry King or Piers Morgan – do your own analysis in Excel.
Data is now available to analyze the CNN ratings of Larry King and his successor Pier Morgan (aka Piers Moron as he’s known to readers of Private Eye).
We really don’t care about the ratings differences between a former King and the current Moron on a once great cable network. The difference between suspenders and belts is more relevant to most people.
It does give Office-Watch.com a practical example of how to get Excel data from Google Docs and use it in Excel.
Firstly go to the public data on Google Docs here.
Note the nifty chart where you can click on the lettered data points to see who appeared on the shows of that week.
To get your own copy of the data, choose File | Download as | Excel. This will download an .xls file
Then open the XLS file in Excel. The charts don’t appear (pity) but the raw data is there for you to play with.
