If you import a macro from an Access 2010 or 2013 database into an Access 2007 (or earlier) database, it will look like this in design view:
This is because macro format changed between Access 2007 and 2010 (and again between 2010 to 2013, though not as much in that case). The macro may still work, but you will probably want to redo it, either recreating it from scratch in 2007 macro format, or modifying the messed-up macro to delete the XML and put in the appropriate macro actions and arguments, just so the syntax will be comprehensible.
