Some different Oscar coverage

Even Fortune magazine gets Oscar fever

These days everyone gets Oscar fever — even Fortune magazine manages to shoe-horn some articles into their web site.

There’s an article about the price of an Oscar statue – $1 according to the Academy.

And an analysis of the speeches given by winners (which can be done in Microsoft Word) and some weird rules which probably need revision.

Even Office Watch can’t resist a bit of Oscar trivia – when the imposingly named “Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences” was formed, the word ‘film’ was considered a down market term not worthy of the industry.  That’s why it’s called ‘Motion Picture Arts’ not ‘Film Arts’.
