G suite is gone, please welcome Google Workspace

Google’s paid suite of Office software and services was called G Suite is now called Google Workspace.

Google Workspace plans have custom email for businesses with collaboration tools like Gmail, Calendar, Meet, Chat, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Sites and more

That’s not all, Google Workspace comes with new icons using the Google color scheme.  Please try to contain your excitement.

New plan – Business Plus

There’s a new option ‘Business Plus’  adds more to the existing Business Standard plan.

Business Plus offers (upgrades from Standard in bold)

  • Custom and secure business email + eDiscovery, retention
  • 250 participant video meetings + recording, attendance tracking
  • 5 TB cloud storage per user
  • Enhanced security and management controls, including Vault and advanced endpoint management

Today!  For consumer and business plans, G Suite renaming to Google Workspace is happening now.

Education and Non-Profit plans will get the name change in coming months.
