Microsoft has an Office extension for the Google Chrome browser which adds links to the online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and OneDrive.
This free Office extension has been available for some time. Not to be confused with ‘Microsoft Search in Bing quick access’ that’s being forcibly added to Office 365 ProPlus.
Go here to install the Office extension, follow the link to install on Google Chrome.
Not that the Office Chrome extension is anything to get excited about. Strip away all the hype and it’s merely some links to the browser-based versions of Office and OneDrive.

Some people might find that convenient, others dislike the additional extension to an already overcrowded Chrome menu bar.
