OneDrive isn’t the only choice for sharing Office documents. Dropbox can also share Word, Excel or Powerpoint documents including real-time collaboration.
The Dropbox and Microsoft Office integration allows users to open, edit, and save Office files directly from Dropbox. Use either Office apps on the web (Office Online) or modern Office/Microsoft 365 desktop apps.
You can create new Office Online (in a browser) files from Dropbox, and the changes are saved back to Dropbox automatically.
The integration supports real-time collaboration, meaning multiple users can edit files simultaneously.
No special license is needed for Dropbox Basic, Plus, or Family accounts, but enterprise Microsoft accounts are required for team accounts
Dropbox has a full explanation here but if you’re used to sharing docs via OneDrive, the Dropbox features are much the same.
