If you’re trying to decide between Evernote and OneNote, Melanie Pinola has a useful summary at Lifehacker.
We agree with her summary of the two:
” Evernote is better for collecting and organizing information and mobile note-taking.” and ” Evernote is more like a filing cabinet, with a simpler notes interface yet powerful tagging capabilities. “
” OneNote is better for creative note-taking.” and “OneNote looks and feels like a digital version of a paper notebook, complete with tags and notebook sections”.
OneNote wins from a purely financial standpoint – it’s hard to pass up free.
Evernote free or $25 annual is plan is still compelling for those of us (including Office Watch) who find it a lot more suitable for notetaking and sync across multiple devices.
