The Q4 earning report for Microsoft is out with continued good news for Office 365 and Office.
There are now over 23 million Office 365 consumer subscribers, up from 15.2 million a year ago.
That’s in addition to the business users including new arrival, Facebook.
There are now 90,000 ‘partners’ selling Office 365 to small businesses.
Revenue from “Office consumer products and cloud services” is up 19% while the “Office commercial products and cloud services” grew 5%. Office 365 commercial revenue increased a whopping 54%
See the slide deck summarizing the results here. It would make a good case study in how to present statistics in the best light. For example, while Office 365 consumer growth is present in raw numbers of subscriber (eg 23.1 million) the equivalent number for commercial business is only given as a % growth year on year (eg 45%).
