Conditional Formatting

How to format a cell or row in a list or combo box using conditional formatting.

Q:Dale Stark writes that he has Access 2000, and would like to make a row or cell in a list or combo box a different color or font based on some condition.  He had heard that this was possible, but couldn’t figure out how from the help screens and the MS Knowledgebase.

A:This new feature is called conditional formatting (as always, you can’t find something in Help unless you know what it is called!).  In form design view, select the control you want to conditionally format, then drop down the Format menu and select Conditional Formatting.  A dialog opens, where you can specify the formatting you want to apply.
