A tip to help you cope with a spamming tactic that Outlook can’t quite cope with.
OUTLOOK JUNK MAIL TRICK
Thanks to Office Watch reader Larry for this tip to cope with a spammers tactic which Outlook can’t quite cope with.
“Sender addresses are displayed with the IP address instead of the @example.com format. This creates an interesting dilemma for Outlook. You cannot right click on the email and designate the message for your junk mailbox. Outlook’s junk mail does not provide this option.
The only work-around that I have found is to right click for the message options and then copy and paste the @example.com address reflected into the junk mail options blocked sender list. This is a significant waste of time to effective process each of these IP address displayed emails. I have had to create yet another filter to at least move them to my Junk mail folder.”
