CRM v3.0 is nigh

CRM v3.0 is about to be released and from what we’ve seen it looks quite good.

For some years Microsoft has had a Customer Relationship Management package – CRM but it’s been quite limited. It’s been so limited that we’ve barely considered it worth mentioning here in Office Watch. As usual, Microsoft has beavered away and after several versions there’s now a product worth considering.

CRM v3.0 (the version numbering is a bit hazy) is about to be released and from what we’ve seen it looks quite good.

V3 goes beyond customer sales and service/support so that it now also includes marketing features. The product is now more scalable with a new version coming soon for Small Business Server users (Premium edition only, because SQL Server is required) moving upwards for medium sized businesses.

We’ll be doing a full review of CRM v3 in a future Office Watch but there’s a good offer now available for existing CRM users and those who buy before 1 Dec 2005.

“Purchase any module of Microsoft CRM 1.2 Professional and get full suite rights to Microsoft CRM 3.0 (Expires December 1, 2005) “

You should check the details from Microsoft here and see if the offer applies in your country.
