Great expert tips on photographing fireworks
The New Years fireworks in Sydney Australia are justly famous – the compact harbour plus landmarks like the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House that are illuminated by a series of displays throughout the evening.
If you’re in town it’s well worth seeing from the many vantage points around the harbour.
Whether you’re in Sydney or not, taking photos of fireworks can be difficult so it’s great to see some detailed tips from the photo department of Sydney’s famous newspaper which boil down to “Try to time the exposure so that the shutter is open after the initial bright burst has subsided“
