Sgt. Peppers revealed

An interactive version of the famous album cover lets you discover more about the famous faces.

The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography has a nifty feature on the famous Beatles album cover for Sgt. Peppers Lonely Heart’s Club Band.

Go here and move your mouse over the cover.

A tooltip will appear with the name and sometimes occupation of the person.

Click on the face to jump to a full biography in most cases —  but not all, poor old Stuart Sutcliffe (far left, above Sonny Liston) gets passed over yet again.

I could have done with that web page about 35 years ago when pouring over the cover to work out who they all where — could have won a few bets.
