March 2010 is the month for many Excel security patches
This month Microsoft has released patches for many security breaches in Excel – from Excel 2002 onwards plus Office for Mac.
More embarrassing, but probably inevitable, the ‘new’ OpenXML document formats have been breached for the first time. A hacked .xlsx file could gain access to an unpatched computer.
Since the security breaches cover both the ‘old’ .xls and ‘new’ .xlsx file formats there are patches for pretty much any version of Office you can think of, as long as Microsoft still supports it.
Here are links to all the relevant patches though most people will get their updates via Windows/Microsoft update.

There are also updates for Sharepoint Server 2007.
