No change to Office end-of-support dates

Microsoft is being stubborn about the ‘end of life’ deadlines for Office 2010 and Office 2016 for Mac, insisting that both will stop support in six months as planned.

That’s in contrast to Windows which has delayed the end of support dates for some versions of Windows 10 to help everyone coping with the unique challenges of 2020.

On 13 October 2020 support for Office 2010 and Office 2016 for Mac will end.

There’ll be no more security or bug fixes after that date.

Office 2016/Mac and Office 2010/Windows will still work but will gradually become less secure and unable to link to changing online services.
