The Windows 10/11 Emoji Panel has the Cat face.  Use Win + . (period/fullstop) to open the panel.

Choose the Emoji tab (the second of the top row icons). To find the grinning cat, scroll down the list or search for ‘cat’ to find all manner of feline options.

Windows Character Map

You won’t find the cat emoji under the Windows Character Map.

MacOS and Office for Mac inserting characters

On a Mac, to enter the Cat Face 🐱 emoji:

  • Command + Control + Spacebar shortcut to open the Character Viewer.  
  • Search for “Cat “ and the Viewer will find many cat related emoji, including Cat Face

Despite the name Character Viewer, the Apple system tool will also insert characters into any program, including Office for Mac.
