New anti-spam downloads for MS Outlook
Around the same time as Office 2007 Service Pack 2 was released, so were some Outlook spam filter updates.
Outlook 2003 and 2007 have an anti-spam filter included. Because spammers are constantly trying new tactics to avoid those filters the Outlook filter needs updating from time to time.
Outlook 2007
The update dated 24 April 2009 is available from here.
Outlook 2003
Also dated 24 April 2009 the Outlook 2003 update is here.
Both updates will be ‘pushed’ out via Microsoft Update or you can download from the links above.
There are Knowledge Base articles related to these updates however, at the time of publication, those KB links were not working. It’s been a bad few days for missing KB articles. Never mind, the KB articles for these spam filter updates don’t usually add any useful details.
