Son of FrontPage now on sale

Expression Web, the successor to Microsoft Frontpage is now on sale

The replacement for Frontpage in the Microsoft product range has now been released. Microsoft Expression Web is now their ‘standard’ web page design software compared with ‘Sharepoint Designer 2007’ which is intended for re-vamping of Microsoft Sharepoint sites.

Expression Web is not part of the Office range of products but fills the gap when FrontPage was dropped.

The new program is a web site designer which includes access to ASP.NET 2 controls and technologies.

It’s the start of a new ‘Expression’ line of products. In addition to Expression Web there is also Expression Media to manage pictures, videos and music files.

Coming in 2007 will be Expression Design, a drawing and design tool and Expression Blend, a collaboration tool to let web programmers and designers work together.

The whole lot will be bundled up in Expression Studio, also due for release in 2007. The full Microsoft announcement is on our ‘Office News Wire’ https://office-watch.com/?p=94

A 60 day fully functioning trial is now available for download there are also trials of Expression Blend or Design.

The full Expression Web product sells for $299 with a discounted price of $99 for Frontpage users.
