The upcoming release of Office 2019 for Windows or Mac has some Office 365 customers wondering when they’ll be able to get Office 2019.

Office 2019 for Windows or Mac is a separate version of Office from what’s available for Office 365 customers.
Office 2019 is a ‘perpetual licence’ or one-time payment product.
It has less features than Office for Windows/Mac which is regularly updated for Office 365 customers.
Office 2019 does not have any cloud-based features that have been a highlight of recent Office 365 offerings. Read Aloud, Dictate, PowerPoint Designer, Excel Maps and others rely on Microsoft cloud servers and are part of an Office 365 plan.
Office 365 subscribers should ignore Office 2019
If you get your Office software as part of an Office 365 plan – IGNORE all the talk about Office 2019 for Windows or Mac.
Office 2019 is a separate and lesser featured release from anything for Office 365.
