The slow way to the end of Excel

Some people have way too much time on their hands …. and this was pre-lockdown!

Hunter Hobbs decided to find out how long it takes to scroll down to the very bottom row of Excel.  That’s row 1,048,576.  It only takes a moment and two keystrokes to get there, but Hunter decided to take ‘the road less travelled’.

It took him 9 hours 36 minutes and 10 seconds but you can see a time-lapse version that’s only 2 min 39 seconds.

I hope someone will take Mr Hobbs aside to show him how to do the same thing and more in a few seconds:

Get to the bottom row:  Ctrl + down arrow

Get to the end column:  Ctrl + right arrow

We got to the very end of Excel in a few seconds, including the time to take this screen shot.
