Where did WordArt go after Word 2007?

Microsoft loves tinkering with WordArt and in Word 2010 the entire feature was expanded to Text Effects and split into two features on different tabs. Here’s how to find all the old WordArt features plus a lot more.

Back in Office 2007 there was one WordArt feature on the Insert tab.  It was quite limited and over used.

That changed in Word 2010 and is much the same in the latest Word releases.

WordArt font options

The font part of WordArt is now on the Home tab in the Font section. It has a lot more than the old WordArt with specific Outline, Shadow, Reflection, Glow, Number Styles, Ligatures and Stylistic Sets.

WordArt in Text Boxes

Other WordArt options are now available in Text Boxes.  Choose the Text Box then Shape Format | WordArt Styles.  Shadow, Reflection, Glow, Bevel and 3D Rotation.

Transform: Warp and Follow Path

And especially the Text Effects pull-down to Transform with the Warp and Follow Path features. That gives you some of the old WordArt effects and a lot more.
