Fantastic Earth image for your desktop or PowerPoint

The European Space Agency has released the first full Earth image from its new weather satellite and it’s a fantastic, high-resolution view of Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Great for a desktop, screen saver or Powerpoint slide.

Taken by the Meteosat Third Generation Imager-1 (MTG-I1), the image is available for download.

Use it as a desktop image, screen saver or in a PowerPoint slide.

Add a simple, subtle animation effect to zoom in.

You’ll probably want to make a smaller version for any document or slide (Picture Tools | Adjust | Compress). Or use the image we posted above (904×896, 1MB) by right-clicking in your browser then ‘Save image as ..’ or equivalent.
