There’s a new patch for an Outlook 2003 problem most people won’t ever come across.

There’s a new patch for an Outlook 2003 problem most people won’t ever come across.

To find this bug you’ll need Outlook 2003, a printer with an auto-stapling attachment then try to print more than one copy of an email message longer than a one page.

What should happen is the pages of each email message are stapled together. Instead all the pages and copies are stapled into a single bundle.

If you’re having this problem, Microsoft has a hotfix patch for you upon application to MS support. It’s probably not worth getting the hotfix. We’d expect that this fix should be included in the upcoming Office 2007 Service Pack 2.

Details of the hotfix and the related registry entries are here.
