I have to declare a personal interest in this article because the Croissant 🥐 is an essential part of my breakfast. No morning is complete without the “Three C’s” – Coffee, Computer and Croissant <g>.

Only two standard Windows fonts have the Croissant emoji; Segoe UI Emoji and Segoe UI Symbol.
The Mac version (Apple Color Emoji font) looks yummy!

Use the standard Word Alt + X symbol shortcut 1F950 then Alt + X

Croissant Icons
The Office Icons collection includes two Croissant options, black and outline which have a lot more formatting options than the emoji, like color and rotation.
Any icon can be recolored or rotated. Tip: Convert the black Icon to an Office Shape which lets you apply a Gradient color effect.
Window 11/10 Emoji Panel
The Windows 11/10 Emoji Panel has the Croissant 🥐 character. Use Win + . (period/fullstop) to open the panel then search for ‘croissant’ or just ‘croi’ is enough.

MacOS and Office for Mac inserting characters
On a Mac, to enter the Croissant 🥐 symbol:
- Command + Control + Spacebar shortcut to open the Character Viewer.
- Search for ‘ Croissant ‘ or just ‘croi’ and the Viewer should find the symbol you need.
Despite the name Character Viewer, the Apple system tool will also insert characters into any program, including Office for Mac.
