We use Small Business Server with an application server to let the Office Watch team get their email and write articles from wherever they are in the world. You can access it using the Remote Desktop client from your own laptop or from a browser in any decent Internet terminal. In theory you can also access it from a PDA but the screen is so small as to be useless except as a parlor trick.
But installing it isn’t as obvious as you might expect so it is good to see that Microsoft has updated their Knowledge Base article on this topic – which covers Office 2003 and Office XP on both Windows 2000 and 2003 servers.
