Pantone has announced their “Color of the Year” for 2023 is “Viva Magenta” and, as usual, we’ll explain how to use that exact color in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. And we’ll look at the purple prose that’s become a hallmark of Pantone’s annual promotion.
The color of 2023 is … Viva Magenta
As usual what’s more amazing than the color is the description that goes with the choice. Viva Magenta (or Dark Red to us mortals) is described as:
- vibrates with vim and vigor
- brave and fearless
- exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration
- revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression
But enough of the annual prose fest from the ‘Pantone Institute’, let get down to the practical business of using the colors in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or any other program.
