Pantone Color of 2019 - available now in Microsoft Office

Pantone has announced its Color of the Year for 2019 but before you run off to grab color swatches, here’s how to get it in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

The color of 2019 is <drum roll> ….. Living Coral …

As usual what’s more amazing than the color is the description from the ‘Pantone Institute’. Living Coral is described as:

  • life-affirming
  • embraces us with warmth and nourishment
  • nurturing
  • engaging
  • sociable and spirited
  • provides comfort and buoyancy

Meanwhile, back in the real world, here’s how to get Pantone’s Living Coral in Microsoft Office.

Go to the color selector in any Office product for font, background or whatever. Choose Custom and enter the RGB values.

Pantone Living Coral = RGB: 250, 114, 104

Voila!  The 2019 color of the year in your own documents.

Office for Mac

Macs have their own impressive color selectors that Office for Mac uses.

Choose the Color Sliders, RGB Sliders then type the RGB codes.

Web Pages

For web pages the HEX code is FA7268  eg

background-color: # FA7268;
    color: # FA7268;

though color: rgb(250, 114, 104); will also work.
