Word in a browser now has nicer web link preview that the plain ones in other versions of Word plus obvious choices for copy, edit or deleting a link.
Hover over a web or internal link in Word on the web and you’ll see a better tooltip with buttons to copy the link, edit the link or remove it plus a thumbnail of the linked page.
Compare that with the plain tooltip in Word for Windows.
Internal bookmark links show the bookmark name.
Link previews were rolled out during February 2024 and should now be available to everyone at Microsoft Word on the web. They might make their way to Word for Windows or Mac.
