Point or Arrow Icons

Microsoft Office Icons also have arrow or point symbols – search for either term in Microsoft 365, Office 2021/2019 from Insert | Icons.

Arrow Icons have many options not available in the Unicode symbols, such as curved, turn back and chevrons. Keep in mind that, unlike characters, Icons can be rotated to point in any direction.

There is also an arrow shape in Office (Insert | Shape).

Arrow and Hands can and do look different

Unicode has many symbol and emoji, here’s all the arrow/hand symbols as they appear in Windows and Mac.

    • Use the Unicode Hex value with the Alt + X trick in Word/Outlook.
